Pads get hard over a period of time, especially if the instrument is not swabbed out after playing each time. All the pads will be replaced with new ones. The keys get tarnished and old looking. Of course all the keys and springs have to be removed for this process without breaking them. The keys must be replaced correctly and regulated to manufacturer's specifications. The body and tone holes are cleaned and the keys are polished. I will replace all the pads with new top of the line pads, seat the pads, and adjust the keys to factory specifications. There will be no leaks, and your instrument will play like new. Wooden clarinets are restored to a beautiful lustre. Those with gold engraving are restored with 24 karat gold leaf.
